Part-Time Payroll Coordinator
PSBA is seeking a part-time payroll coordinator (25 hours/week) to join the finance team. This individual will primarily be responsible for payroll and benefits.

Role responsibilities: 

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity
  • Calculate and process wage garnishments, deductions, and adjustments
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll tax filings

Role requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and double entry bookkeeping principles
  • Proficiency in using payroll software such as Paylocity
  • Familiarity with benefits administration, payroll tax regulations and PSERS
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
