PSBA is a people-focused organization. Our priority is to take care of our members and our team. The key to this success is found in the way we work together to accomplish our mission. No one person can do it alone. Teamwork is the only way we can get the job done. We take great pride in our accomplishments and the efforts put forth by our team to help make our association not only a great place to work, but a great service to public education and school districts across the commonwealth.
We take care of our team.
Our employees are our greatest asset. We ensure our team is well equipped – professionally and personally – to bring their best selves to our members every day. Full-time PSBA employees receive:
Standard benefits
We have adopted a mindset that employee health is an investment. We want our employees to have access to any and all medical and health care resources that are necessary to maintain their overall well-being. PSBA provides medical, dental and vision plans for individuals and families. Employees receive basic term life insurance paid for by PSBA at 1.5 times annual compensation.
Generous time off
PSBA closes our offices to offer time for staff to relax and refresh. Refresh weeks are provided over the July 4 holiday and the week prior to the New Year. These two weeks off are in addition to the 20 days annually that full-time employees accrue. In addition, PSBA offers leave options for many situations including Family Leave, Military Leave, Volunteer Days and many others.
Education assistance
Employees are encouraged to continue their professional development whether through conference attendance, webinars or other opportunities that are available. PSBA offers a tuition reimbursement program for continued education when completed through an accredited college or university, and a tuition advancement program for employees’ dependent children to be used towards undergraduate courses.
Casual dress code
We follow a casual dress code, so you are always comfortable and relaxed while you work.
Comprehensive wellness
Staff have access to resources that support overall health – both physically and mentally. There is an on-site fitness center designed with top-of-the-line equipment and an Employee Assistance Program to support employees and their immediate family to identify and resolve personal problems, at no cost to the employee.
Competitive pay and retirement benefits
Biannual reviews of the compensation strategy are performed through a third-party market analysis to ensure that PSBA is providing the most competitive compensation package for our team. PSBA employees are also enrolled in the Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) pension plan, which includes a generous employer contribution.
State-of-the-art facility and technology
PSBA takes pride in offering a modern, relaxed and comfortable work environment. Headquarters is set in a picturesque landscape along a creek surrounded by wildlife. Staff are encouraged to work outside where Wi-Fi connections extend to all edges of the property. In addition, staff are equipped with laptops, electric desks, TV screens and other technology to ensure they can fulfill their job responsibilities successfully and efficiently.
Remote work options
Remote work arrangements may be granted to qualifying employees when circumstances and conditions allow for success.
PSBA is a digitally well workplace
PSBA earned this badge as part of our journey toward digital wellness excellence. We have taken initial actions to prioritize employee digital well-being and have proven a willingness to build a healthy digital culture that fosters productivity, supports mental health, encourages effective communication and promotes physical well-being in the digital age. This badge proudly communicates that we are committed to creating a culture of Digital Flourishing.
