PSBA is seeking a part-time payroll coordinator (25 hours/week) to join the finance team. This individual will primarily be responsible for payroll and benefits.
Role responsibilities:
Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity
Calculate and process wage garnishments, deductions, and adjustments
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Assist in the preparation of payroll tax filings
Role requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and double entry bookkeeping principles
Proficiency in using payroll software such as Paylocity
Familiarity with benefits administration, payroll tax regulations and PSERS
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
